The innovative Jetlev concept greatly improves thrust-to-weight ratio of a jetpack by locating the propulsion engine, fuel and related systems on a floating vessel tethered behind the jetpack. It also uses water as the jet propulsion medium because its high density can carry vast amounts of power at much lower velocities than air, and water’s incompressible properties make it possible to achieve precise flight control by transmitting changes in thrust instantly to the jetpack.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the 2011 model R200 is 99,500 USD.
